I’d like to try this someday. An entire culture and lifestyle has been created around surfing so it must be pretty amazing to ride those waves. The closest place to give it a try would be the New Jersey shore, but some of the better places in the world include California, Hawaii, and the South Pacific such as Australia. For such a laid back hobby with a lifestyle about everything except money, it’s ironic that surfing is actually pretty expensive to get started. A new board costs between 200 and 800 dollars and a wet suit can cost 100 dollars as well. The best way to get started is by taking lessons which cost about $100.

Abstraction - A visual representation that may have little resemblance to the real world. Abstraction can occur through a process of simplification or distortion in an attempt to communicate an essential aspect of a form or concept.
The surfing photo uses unrealistic colors and altered shapes to create an abstraction of a real surfing photo.
